the xxii is dedicated to improving healthy longevity. we believe healthcare is to revolve around sustaining health rather than only responding to illness. health must be defined holistically as an overall state of well-being encompassing mental, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual harmony. today, wearable devices that track our steps, sleep patterns, and heart rate have been integrated into our lives in ways we couldn’t have imagined just a few years ago. we expect this trend to accelerate. in the not-so-distant future biotechnologies will make it possible to upgrade our physical and cognitive abilities, modify our own bodies and brains, probably, even engineer our babies. cancer and diabetes will likely join polio as defeated diseases, aging itself will be cured. cloning, space travel and maybe even mind uploading will become possible. the future holds incredible things for us… the only task is to meet it in full health and sound mind while enjoying our ride.
